JOHN

In addition to his certification as a veterinary technician, John Nielsen has undergone additional, rigorous training and testing to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care. He is also a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner, and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. John heads AERC’s rehabilitation services, our Sport & Strength Department.  

John graduated from Argosy University in 1997, then worked at the University of Minnesota as well as other emergency practices and general practice for a total of over 15 years of veterinary experience. His interests within veterinary medicine fit well with his roles at AERC: critical care and emergency, anesthesia, and pain management/rehabilitation.
