Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon and Director of Surgical Specialties

Katherine Meyers, VMD, DACVS-SA, received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 before returning to the University of Pennsylvania for a small animal surgery residency. Following completion of the residency, Dr. Meyers remained at Penn as a lecturer and attained board certification from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in February 2018.

While Dr. Meyers enjoys all aspects of surgery, her professional interests include minimally invasive surgery (arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and thoracoscopy), surgical oncology, microvascular surgery, and orthopedics.

When not working, Dr. Meyers enjoys yoga, cooking, golfing, hiking and spending time with her Golden Retriever, Winnie, and two cats – Zizou and Tom.
