This workshop is held quarterly on an ongoing basis. Stay tuned for the next scheduled workshop!

The loss of a cherished pet may be one of the most difficult events in a person’s life. In the midst of grief, it is important to take time to care for yourself.

Studies have shown that blood flow to the “joy response” part of the brain increased by 10% when subjects saw a beautiful painting. The studies reinforce what people already intuitively know to be true – that visual art has a strong, positive psychological effect on the brain.

Creating a piece of memorial art can both ease the stress of grieving and offer the opportunity to peacefully reflect on our loss.

Participants have the opportunity to decorate either a memorial box or a picture frame to commemorate a beloved pet that has passed away. Please bring photographs of your pet or other special items that you may wish to incorporate into your design.

This workshop is limited to 15 participants.
