Board-Certified Veterinary Oncologist

Briana Keller, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), cHPV, is a board-certified veterinary oncologist, a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian, and a Human-Animal Bond Certified Veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2013, and she was a rotating intern and oncology intern at North Carolina State University, where she also completed her oncology residency in 2018.

Cancer can be a devastating diagnosis, but Dr. Keller aims to provide compassionate and informative care to help pet owners make the best decisions for their furry family members regarding treatment. She is particularly interested in hematopoietic tumors (such as lymphoma and leukemia), electrochemotherapy, and palliative cancer care. She is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian and a Human-Animal Bond Certified Veterinarian, and her goal is always to give her patients as much quality time as possible with their families. She enjoys working with pet owners to provide care that supports the human-animal bond, from the initial cancer diagnosis through the cancer treatment process and even including end-of-life care.

Dr. Keller knows firsthand how important quality of life is for pets with cancer since she previously treated her own dog Raleigh, and Raleigh enjoyed tennis balls, snuggling, and raiding the recycling bin for cardboard until the very end! Dr. Keller currently lives with her husband and three dogs, Fiona, Daphne, and Lilo. When not working, she enjoys hiking, musicals, cooking, wine tasting, and movie nights.
