Sarah Humphrey, DVM, DACVECC grew up in Illinois, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 2004. She then completed a rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. She practiced emergency medicine on the East Coast for several years prior to moving back to the Midwest to complete her residency training in Wisconsin. Dr. Humphrey became board certified in emergency and critical care in 2014 and has been part of the AERC team since then.
Dr. Humphrey’s professional interests include mechanical ventilation and metabolic emergencies. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, music, and running. She enjoys mornings and generally anything outdoors. Dr. Humphrey has a human child, a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Linus who can run a lot faster than she can, and a cat named Pico that rules the roost.
