Lacey took three semesters at Bemidji State University in 2000, she says she was “deciding what I wanted to be when I grew up.” She graduated from Bel-Rea Institute with an associate degree in 2004 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Globe University in 2011.
She has worked in primary care veterinary hospitals since 2002, and she has a strong interest in caring for pets undergoing orthopedic surgery as well as neonates. Lacey joined AERC’s surgery and anesthesia team in 2017 and moved to the Emergency & Critical Care Service in Spring 2022.
Lacey’s pets include Allie, a 16-year-old dachshund; Elle, a 5-year-old yellow Labrador; Kiwi, a 4-year-old brown tabby, and Tartie, a 4 year-old grey tabby.
Lacey is passionate about the environment. She volunteers for a nature preserve’s citizen science program banding owls, as well as learning about migration, habitat, and food sources.
