Oncology Technician
Amy is an emergency and critical care technician at AERC. Amy graduated with honors from the Veterinary Technology program at Minnesota School of Business. Prior to coming to AERC, Amy worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) taking care of elderly patients in long-term care facilities. She also worked at a family veterinary practice as a receptionist and technician. Eventually, Amy would like to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care, but she also has interests in Dentistry, Radiology and Oncology!
As for pets, first of all, she has Sunny, a cocker spaniel who she calls her “sunshine.” She goes on to explain, “I got her when I was recovering from neck cancer, and she was my motivation. She is my favorite person ever.” Amy also has Aurora, a Siamese mix who is “crabby as all heck” but loves Amy a lot! And newest to the house is Noodle, an eight-month-old sealpoint Siamese that weighs a mere five pounds (but would kill for a bag of chips!)
Amy likes to spend time with her friends, family, boyfriend and pets, as well as binge-watch Netflix, bike, swim, and go on walks with Sunny.
