Colleen Crockford, MSW, LICSW, is a Human Animal Bond Social Worker, providing support education and resources to veterinary professionals and veterinary clients. Colleen specializes in the areas of moral stress, grief & loss, clinical mental health, organizational culture and trauma effective leadership. Colleen has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She completed specialized training within the veterinary field in the areas of compassion fatigue, grief and loss, and the link between human violence and animal violence through the University of Tennessee’s Veterinary Social Work Program. Colleen has over 20 years of experience in the social service fields including youth mentoring, mental health, community engagement, family violence, advocacy, trauma, early childhood mental health, community corrections, program development and staff development.
