Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist

Robert S. George, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology), earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010 from University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. After an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Texas A & M University, he completed a cardiology residency at  MedVet in Columbus, Ohio in 2017. He earned board certification in summer of 2017.

Although Dr. George enjoys all aspects of cardiology, he has particular interests in managing degenerative heart valve disease, cardiomyopathies (heart muscle diseases), arrhythmias, and performing minimally invasive treatment of congenital and acquired heart diseases including patent ductus arteriosus occlusion, balloon valvuloplasty of pulmonary valve stenosis, and pacemaker implantation for abnormally slow heart rhythms.

Although a Wisconsin native, Dr. George attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota and lived in the Twin Cities prior to attending veterinary school. He is glad to be back living and practicing in one of his favorite parts of the country. When not working, Dr. George enjoys canoeing, camping, woodworking, home brewing, and trying to make the perfect cup of coffee.
