Sonja Schmitt’s journey to veterinary medicine started in the great outdoors—teaching others about wildlife, working with birds of prey, and banding songbirds. Along the way, she discovered a love for business operations and client service, and she has spent years leading and teaching teams to deliver outstanding experiences.
Sonja is passionate about creating meaningful connections—whether that’s between people and their pets, or within the teams with whom she works. Sonja believes great service comes from empowered, supported people, and she loves helping teams grow into their best selves while making sure clients and patients feel truly cared for.
Outside the hospital, Sonja is usually out exploring nature, creating paintings, or at home being bossed around by her two cats, Ranger and Yuki.
