Alexandria Armeni, DVM, was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, where she graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. Following that, she earned her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota. After completing a small animal and exotics internship at a specialty hospital in Tucson, Arizona, she moved back to the Midwest to join AERC. Her veterinary interests include exotic and wildlife medicine, shelter and rescue work, and emergency and critical care.

Dr. Armeni lives with her husband and their menagerie of animals: three dogs (Groot, Harley, and Indy), four cats (Drogon, Frejya, Anikan, and Cinnamon), and a leopard gecko (Bruni). When not working, she enjoys cooking, exploring the Twin Cities, and traveling.
