Pet Myths: Part I

pet health myths, veterinary, Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota, veterinary medicine, Twin Cities emergency vet, Minnesota emergency vet

Pet owners often hear things about their animals and believe them to be true, when in reality, they’re nothing more than myths. As many of us have discovered the hard way, we can’t believe everything we read by Dr. Google. Here are a few members of our healthcare team to set the record straight on three common health-related myths about pets:

  1. Dogs know when to stop playing in hot weather.
  2. Chemo is hard on dogs.
  3. Indoor pets don’t need to see the vet.

Watch this video below to learn what our team has to say!

Thank you, Sheree, CVT, Sarah Humphrey, DVM, DACVECC, and Jeff Bush, DVM! If you are curious about whether or not something you’ve heard in regard to your pet is fact or fiction, just ask your family veterinarian.
