Life Care Animal Hospital

Life Care Animal Hospital has been a part of the St. Paul community since the 1960’s. Back then though, the hospital was known as Olin Animal Hospital. In 1995, Dr. Larry

Morrisette became owner and medical director of Olin Animal Hospital, which evolved into Life Care Animal Hospital. Their team mostly treats dogs and cats, but occasionally they also see pocket pets.

Dr. Morrisette graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He enjoys the diverse caseload of general practice and is especially interested in surgery and internal medicine. In addition to Dr. Morrisette, Life Care Animal Hospital has two associate veterinarians: Dr. Amanda Harlow and Dr. Helga Midelfort-Vognar.

Dr. Harlow graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, diabetes mellitus, and preventative care for all ages.

Dr. Midelfort-Vognar graduated from University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, sports medicine, physical therapy, and preventative care.

To expand their range of treatment options, Life Care Animal Hospital works with Dr. Mark LaVallie to offer their clients an onsite animal chiropractor. Dr. LaVallie has many years of experience practicing on human patients, but a few years ago, he became one of the first human chiropractors licensed by the state of Minnesota to perform animal chiropractic

care as well. Additionally, he provides laser treatment therapy for pets. He splits his time between human and animal patients and comes to Life Care Animal Hospital once a week.

Beyond their patient care, one of the things Life Care Animal Hospital gets complimented on the most is their customer service. They have long-lasting client relationships, some into the third generation!

Another aspect about their animal hospital that clients appreciate is Life Care Animal Hospital’s dedication to rescue work. They see a large volume of rescue cases and work with rescues to provide rescued pets with quality care.

Life Care Animal Hospital is dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. They are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving their patients the best possible care.
