The Only Locally-Owned Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Minnesota

Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo

Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo in Lake Elmo, MN opened in 1998. Dr. John Baillie is the founder and owner of Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo. In addition to providing mentorship to his coworkers as well as veterinarians throughout the Twin Cities area, Dr. Baillie routinely lectures and teaches exotic animal medicine at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.

In addition to Dr. Baillie, Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo has four associate veterinarians: Dr. Noemi Plantz, Dr. Erika Olson, Dr. Kirstin Keller, and Dr. Charlie Cosimini.

Dr. Noemi Plantz has worked at Cedar Pet Clinic since 2000. Dr. Plantz decided on a veterinary career at a young age, when she spent a summer bottle-feeding a litter of orphaned kittens. Dr. Plantz speaks on veterinary careers and exotic species care to vet and pre-vet students at the U of M and University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Dr. Erika Olson has been part of the team at Cedar Pet Clinic since 2013, and in fact, her first job after graduating from vet school was working at CPC! She loves the variety of animals they see at Cedar Pet Clinic – every one of their veterinarians is able to see and assess dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, and many other exotic species.

Dr. Kirstin Keller first began working at CPC in 2005 as a veterinary assistant, then came back to Cedar Pet Clinic after graduating from vet school in 2014. Dr. Keller loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special passion for senior wellness and pain management.

Dr. Charles Cosimini joined Cedar Pet Clinic in 2016. His interests within veterinary medicine include dermatology and dentistry, and he also appreciates the wide variety of species that he gets to see at CPC.

The team at Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo believes that the quality of a pet’s life is as important

as its longevity. Diagnosis and treatment of illness in companion animals is only part of their work; prevention of disease is central to the way they practice medicine. They are proud to offer personalized treatment recommendations for each patient, from vaccine schedules and well visits to services such as nail, beak and wing trims. Beyond their commitment to preventative medicine, Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo provides therapeutic laser, acupuncture, and many specialized surgeries on exotic pets. Their team is committed to continuing education, new technologies and current practices.

The team at Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo has the ability to care for any pet that walks, flies, hops or slithers through their doors! They provide extraordinary care for your extraordinary pet, whatever species he/she may be.

As an emergency and specialty referral hospital, AERC has a number of member clinics throughout the Twin Cities. We highly value our relationships with these family veterinarians, including Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo. We encourage every pet owner to have a family veterinarian for regular wellness check-ups and vaccinations.
