Carver Lake Veterinary Center opened in Woodbury in 1996. In 2017, the original owner retired, and Drs. Mey Nevo and Jen Blum took over. Drs. Kelly Griffin, Chris Ed, and Christine Maddox are all associate veterinarians at Carver Lake Veterinary Center.
This Twin Cities veterinary center sees dogs, cats, and all small companion animals such as rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, and hedgehogs. Their team is able to perform nearly all procedures, diagnostics, and surgeries within their clinic so their clients are able to get continuous care from their primary veterinarian. They also have an extra special interest in ultrasonography, small companion mammal care, creating a “cat-friendly” environment, and working with behavioral cases.
Their team believes that there are two things that really set Carver Lake Veterinary Center apart from other veterinary clinics. First, they put an emphasis on making connections with their clients. They understand that they cannot help a patient without first getting to know the owner and including the owner in the process. They take the time to get to know their clients so when they walk in the door, it feels like working with friends. Their team values this partnership with the pet’s owner and they never take for granted that their clients choose to bring their pets to them! As they put it, “It’s a privilege to work with these clients and their pets.”
The second thing that sets Carver Lake Veterinary Center apart is that they truly are a “center” for pets. They offer more than just veterinary care! They also have grooming, daycare, puppy and small dog play groups, access to chiropractic care and training classes, and so much more! They strive to be a place where their clients can go for all of their pet care needs.
As an emergency and specialty referral hospital, AERC has a number of member clinics throughout the Twin Cities. We highly value our relationships with these family veterinarians, including Carver Lake Veterinary Center. We encourage every pet owner to have a family veterinarian for regular wellness check-ups and vaccinations.
