AEC Honors Patient's Memory

Recently, Animal Emergency Clinic had a very special patient, a Himalayan cat named Dominic. Karen, Dominic's owner, had been struggling through his recent illness for quite some time, taxing all her strength to help her friend and companion feel better. After a long struggle, Karen made the decision to say goodbye to Dominic at Animal Emergency Clinic, and decided that humane euthanasia was the best decision for her friend.
A few weeks after we met Dominic and Karen, we were surprised by a wonderful thank you card from Karen, who was very appreciative of our clinic, and particularly appreciative of Dr. Reynhout's compassion and care. Karen felt that Dr. Reynhout had been instrumental in helping her through a difficult time by helping her through Dominic's departure in a kind, compassionate way. A donation to Animal Emergency Clinic accompanied Karen's very thoughtful, very wonderful card.
Animal Emergency Clinic was very touched by Karen's letter and donation, and felt strongly that the only thing to do would be to honor Dominic's memory by placing a framed print in memorium to Dominic in our Oakdale lobby. This way, every client and every patient who visits our clinic can help remember Dominic, his lasting memory, and the lives that he continues to touch even now. Karen and Dominic, we will always remember you.

"We just wanted to take the time to thank you for all you did for Duke. Although things didn't turn out the way we would have hoped, we know everyone did all they could. In all our years as pet owners, we've never seen as fine a veterinary staff as at AEC. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and care you gave to Dukey. Thank you."
