Jason Razo

Jason Razo, DVM, earned his degree in veterinary medicine at the University of Missouri; during his clinical years, he participated in an externship at AERC as a member of the emergency and critical care team. He resides in Oakdale and is completing his small animal rotating internship at AERC. In addition to emergency and critical care, his professional interests include diagnostic imaging and One Health.

Prior to veterinary school, he earned a B.S. in Radiological Engineering with a minor in Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Following graduation, he worked as a radioactive materials inspector for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Dallas, Texas. In his free time, he volunteered at the Humane Society of North Texas, and he traveled to Guatemala with a veterinary team to spay and neuter cats and dogs in underserved communities.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with family, running marathons, and taking his mixed breed rescue pup, Ernie, on all the hikes he can handle. Jason also has a cat named Rexy. She allows Ernie and Jason to live in her apartment as long as Jason feeds her and cleans her litter box.
