Heidi

Hospital Administrator

Heidi has worked for AERC for almost nine years in a management capacity. In January of 2009, she was promoted to Hospital Administrator. Much of her job includes writing, as well as editing, clinic publications. Her undergraduate degree in English and a distinct finesse for clarifying written communication make her well-suited to such tasks. Heidi received her MBA degree in May, 2010.

Heidi enjoys participating in triathlons, cross-country skiing, reading, taking photos of her children, and watching movies. She and her husband, Erik, share their home with their two sons, Jamie and William, plus two geriatric cats, and two dogs, George and Sally.

Although Heidi has had the occasion to have many of her pets treated at Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota, her very elderly cat Henry has been hospitalized before for renal failure. She experienced first-hand the fear of having a dying pet in the clinic, and then had to euthanize Henry in June of 2011. She uses that experience to inform her role as Pet Loss Support Group Facilitator at AERC. The support group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month from 7-9pm at our Oakdale facility.
